The madness that is the NBA free agency continues with another big notable trade. This time it involves the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies. There’s also some coincidental shade regarding who’s the main subject of this free agent move. It was just reported earlier today that Andre Iguodala has been traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Warriors are also sending a 2024 protected first-round pick in the 2024 (protected 1-4), 2025 (protected 1) and 2026 unprotected. Folks are having a field day with this development.
This trade comes just several days after Iguodala created some problems for the Warriors in his interview on the Breakfast Club. If you don’t remember, the 35 year old NBA veteran spilled all the tea when he was promoting his book on the Breakfast Club. He disclosed that the Warriors mislead the media and public about his leg injury from a few years back. He gave fans a behind the curtain look at what happened with the Mark Jackson situation as well. He effectively threw the organization, especially the team medical staff, under the bus. These string of events is causing alot of noise on twitter. It’s causing folks to speculate that this trade isn’t just by coincidence or chance. It was the Warriors way of saying “thanks” for the years of loyalty and hard work. Check out some of the reactions making it rounds online.
