Nipsey Hussle’s Family Receives Humanitarian Award For Him At #BETAwards; DJ Khaled, John Legend, YG, and Marsha Ambrosius Perform Tributes [VIDEO]

The BET Awards just presented Nipsey Hussle with their Humanitarian Award and it was well deserved. It’s almost been three months since he was shot and killed in his hometown of Los Angeles. The awards were at the Microsoft Theater in LA tonight and the hometown crowd showed the west coast legend so much love.

T.I. introduced Hussle’s family onto the stage where they discussed his life along with his legacy. Following their comments, Marsha Ambrosious kicked off a beautiful tribute. Shortly after, YG performed his verse on Hussle’s “Last Time I Checced” off of the “Victory Lap” album. DJ Khaled and John Legend concluded the tribute by performing “Higher” which Hussle appeared on on Khaled’s new “Father of Asahd” album.

There were high expectations for the Nipsey Hussle tribute and Twitter acted favorably for it.
