Cardi B has become the first female rapper in history to be named the ‘Songwriter of the Year’ at the 2019 ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Music Awards.
While many people are congratulating Cardi for the huge accolade she has accomplished, other people believe that she shouldn’t have won a songwriting award when she doesn’t write a lot of her music by herself.

.@ASCAP Explain to me how Cardi won an award for song writing! You know she didn’t write anything on her album. We all know she has ghost writers. You’re destroying the integrity of your institution. The integrity of hip-hop. The integrity of song writing. How dare you?!

did cardi b actually win songwriter of the year award.. somebody who can’t even write out a tweet.. who almost gloats about having writers.. won song writer of the year.. for her extremely below average, generic songs.. i am mad & i will stay mad.
