Tiffany Haddish Postpones Atlanta Show On June 22 Over Georgia’s Controversial Abortion Bill

Controversial abortion laws in the south continue to pass that sadly try to control women’s bodies.( Measure HB481) The ban would be in effect once a fetal heartbeat is detected, which can be as early as six weeks. The ban will arrive in 2020.

Now, we are finally starting to see celebrities protest the state of Georgia. Some movie production companies, including Netflix, have though about pulling production there. Atlanta is a huge hub for the film industry but now, actress Tiffany Haddish is bringing her own boycott. She has a show at the Fox Theatre on June 22 and is postponing it due to the abortion law, according to The Blast.

“After much deliberation, I am postponing my upcoming show in Atlanta,” said Haddish. “I love the state of Georgia, but I need to stand with women and until they withdraw Measure HB481, I cannot in good faith perform there.”

Much respect to Haddish on participating in this boycott. Too many sexist lawmakers have no regard for women and that it’s no business of what they do with their bodies.
