For someone who used to drop a new album every year, Rihanna has left fans hanging for most of the 2010s. Since 2012, Rihanna only dropped two albums. The second of those, #ANTI, was her huge comeback album, highly regarded as a classic.
Going along with the promo of that album, Rihanna launched her business ventures. By 2017, FENTY Beauty was launched, and it would gross $200 million, before the end of the year. As business has boomed, Rihanna has continued to prosper.
Many fans were disappointed, when they saw Rihanna update her profile picture to a typical business headshot. They knew this meant the end of her music career. But, according to reports, Rihanna actually has been living in London, for a year, and is renting an entire island off the British coast, in Essex, to finish her album.
