In February, R. Kelly was hit with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse involving sex with four women with three being underage. Now, more additional charges are in place, per CBS Chicago. Kelly is getting hit with 11 felony counts of sexual abuse. These carry a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.
Kelly will head to court on June 6 to face these charges. The full charges are four counts of aggravated criminal sex assault, three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim between the ages of 13-16, two counts of criminal sex assault by force and two counts of aggravated criminal sex abuse. The indictment states that Kelly engaged in sexual acts with a minor who has been identified as “JP.”

The sexual act was described as “by the use of force or threat of force and … acted in such a manner as to threaten or endanger the life of JP.” In addition to these new charges, Kelly is being investigated in his home state of Illinois for sex trafficking. Hopefully he is brought to justice this summer.
