A decade ago, Tila Tequila was at the height of her popularity. In what was the last hurrah of the reality TV era of MTV, before the network’s gradual fall from grace, Tila Tequila was the face of the channel. She went from just doing reality TV to branching into a music career.
Tila Tequila rose in the era of Paris Hilton and the Kardashians. Like them, she was lambasted for being “famous for no reason.” But, by 2012, Tila Tequila was virtually forgotten by almost everyone, as she disappeared from the spotlight.
Last year, Tila Tequila resurfaced, renouncing her old ways, now a religious right-wing conservative. Now known as Tornado Thien, she is now a YouTube personality, where she does her preaching. On this channel, she recently revealed she is working on a gospel album.
