Currently, the Toronto Raptors are playing the Milwaukee Bucks, and they recently tied that series at 2-2. That means the Raptors are two wins from the NBA Finals. When the Philadelphia 76ers made trades for Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris, the NBA Finals were their goal.
Still led by Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, the Sixers won one less game than last season. This underperformance was to be made right, in the playoffs. The Sixers struggled in their first playoff game, particularly Ben Simmons.
Much of Ben Simmons’ inconsistent play was blamed on his reality TV girlfriend, Kendall Jenner. Inconsistent play cost Ben Simmons, and ultimately the Sixers, as their 2-1 lead over Toronto evaporated, leading to a crushing Game 7 loss, at the hands of a Kawhi Leonard friendly roll. This morning, news broke of Ben Simmons and Kendall Jenner breaking up, which will give the Sixers one less thing to blame on Kendall Jenner.
