Kodak Black Uses Growing Up In His Hood And Being Surrounded By Drugs and Violence As Excuses To Be Able To Post $500k Bond After Arrest For Federal Gun Charges; Would Let Judge Give Him Supervision For Legal Cases

Kodak Black is still locked up after getting arrested during Rolling Loud weekend in Miami a few weeks ago. He was hit with federal and state gun charges as he also falsified statements to buy guns illegally. An investigation about him is also ongoing regarding him being involved in a shooting in his hometown of Pompano Beach, Florida in March where he shot at he home of a rapper he was supposedly beefing with. Fingerprints on a gun were traced back to Kodak. There was a possibility of Kodak receiving $500,000 bond but that isn’t on the table right now.

Kodak is now trying to find a way to receive the $500k bond and that is to let the judge know of the environment he grew up in in Pompano Beach, according to The Blast. Submitted documents from his team were sent in asking for Kodak’s release from custody. That’s when the excuse of growing up in his hood came in.

“Born on June 11, 1997, the boy who would become Kodak grew up in Golden Acres, a small, barracks like cluster of public housing originally built in the late 1940s to house farm workers.”

The documents added how Kodak’s neighborhood was filled with crime and drugs. He also wants supervision as part of the deal to make sure he’s at all court hearings and avoids trouble. He concluded by saying he’s never used illegal drugs and has a license to use legal ones. His mother also reportedly said she’s never witnessed him using illegal drugs.

Using his background as an excuse to get the $500k bond likely won’t work but asking for supervision could bring that possibility. We’ll see what happens over the next few weeks.
