NBA Youngboy almost lost his life in the middle of the shootout between his entourage and allegedly Tee Grizzley’s last weekend in Miami. At the time, the Rolling Loud festival was going on and both were scheduled to perform. They did each perform but the shootout overshadowed both.
Miami police didn’t charge Youngboy due to acting in self-defense but back in his hometown of Baton Rouge, he’s not off the hook at all. He appeared in court on Friday and is being held in an East Baton Rouge jail due to violating his probation. The violation comes from discussing the incident on social media and being involved in it, according to District Judge Bonnie Jackson.
During the shootout, 43-year-old Mohamad Jradi was shot and killed while he was in his car, Youngboy’s girlfriend Kay Marie was shot and a five-year-old child was supposedly hit with grazed bullet. The man’s death has hit Youngboy so hard that he wish the bullet hit him instead, according to The Miami Herald.
Youngboy’s defense attorney, James Manasseh, said that Youngboy told him about that feeling. He added that Youngboy was the victim of an assassination attempt. Even though he’s locked up, the Baton Rouge rapper is still looking to help the family of Jradi. Youngboy is set to stay in jail for at least 30 days. His next court date is June 21. Youngboy is one of the hottest rappers in the game but constant legal troubles can put an end to all of the success soon.
