DJ Khaled is set to release his 11th studio album “Father of Asahd” on May 17. Two singles that will appear on the project are the 2018 singles “Top Off” featuring Beyonce’ and Jay Z and “No Brainer” featuring Quavo, Justin Bieber, and Chance The Rapper. A few months ago, Khaled also gave fans a preview of the video for “Higher” featuring the late Nipsey Hussle.

Higher will appear on Father of Asahd and Khaled made an announcement on Twitter tonight saying saying that all of the proceeds from the song will go to Nipsey’s children Emani and Kross. The full message was touching as it was a solid tribute to the west coast legend.

“A gift from my brother Nipsey that we want to share with the world. We miss you and we will forever keep your legacy going. The Marathon Continues. God Bless You.

Khaled said that the title of the song reminds that vibrating on a “higher” level was the essence of Nipsey’s soul. Khaled said that him, his co-writers, producers, and label partners all decided on the proceeds. Check out the full tribute by DJ Khaled to Nipsey Hussle along wit the announcement of the proceeds of Higher going to Nip’s family below.
