Rapsody is originally from Snow Hill, North Carolina, and she followed a similar path as J. Cole, rising to the offices of Jay-Z, over at Roc Nation. In 2019, Rapsody has been showing up for guest appearances on a few different songs. Now, she steps back into the spotlight, delivering “Phylicia,” named after Phylicia Rashad, featuring an appearance from LA’s Buddy.
