In this new era, it is hard enough for young people to just be active in a church setting. Ironically, a place meant to be the most-welcoming, can be very hostile and judgmental, meaning it’s unwelcoming. Imagine being young and in church leadership.
Meagan Good is the wife of DeVon Franklin, a well-known pastor, but of this era. Over the past three years, the two have been very open about their marriage. But, Meagan Good continuing to be an actress, portraying mainstream roles, has led to church backlash.
During a recent interview, Meagan Good talked about being the wife of a preacher. Admitting it was hard, Meagan Good spoke on the pressures of being a preacher’s wife, with church folks coming at her over her acting career. Apparently, because of this, Meagan Good doesn’t regularly attend church services.
