Controversially, YNW Melly was tied to the murder of his friends. The lyrics of his own single, “Murder On My Mind,” did him in. Despite this, the rising star maintains his innocence, but he remains behind bars, and it could stay that way.
Many find this situation controversial, because Florida is pursuing the death penalty for YNW Melly. The rapper is being accused of murder, but George Zimmerman famously murdered Trayvon Martin, in 2012. In his case, Zimmerman stood trial, and was acquitted of all charges.
YNW Melly, meanwhile, was facing the death penalty, but he called one of his friends to give an update. People close to Melly have said he is coming home soon, something many doubt. But, YNW Melly got on the phone with this friend and told her he was coming home very soon.
