Many within Country music are giving their opinions and hot takes in regards to Lil Nas X and the controversy surround his ‘Old Town Road’. Several of them range from support to indifference. You also have a few takes that just prove these artist to be flat out haters.
Take country duo brothers Osborne for example. The siblings were on the red carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards when asked about Lil Nas X. Answering the question ironically posed by Billboard, the sibling artists proceeding to dismiss Lil Nas X, claiming that his song was bullshit that isn’t country. They go to state that Nas X should “get in line” behind other upcoming and unknown country artists. It’s funny that they have this energy for a black artist who came in shaking up the genre, and not necessarily towards other fellow country acts who many claim aren’t country enough as well.
