The touring market has been cornered by Live Nation, pretty much. All the biggest names, regardless of genre, are partnered with them. That list includes Nelly, who emerged in 2000 and he was a heavyweight, out the gate, until 2006.
Nelly hasn’t really had many hits since then, but the St. Louis rapper has enough hits to keep him rich for life. Recently, Nelly signed on to do a tour with TLC and Flo Rida. This brings the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s together for a tour.
A local St. Louis reporter did a newspaper headline, where he accused hometown hero, Nelly, of booking the tour, without a St. Louis date. As the king of his city, Nelly responded to the reporter, calling him out for trying it with his headline, as he doesn’t book his tours, Live Nation does. The reporter tried to play it off, shouting out Nelly, saying he would see him at his Chicago show, and Nelly told him he wouldn’t.
