Cancel culture is a real thing and Gucci saw it, firsthand, with their blackface sweater controversy. Most people didn’t buy it, given the history of blackface, and how terrible the history is with it. Because of that, Gucci’s apology, and removal, of the sweater was not enough.

Young Thug rose to fame, in 2014, following a couple of years on the mixtape scene in Atlanta. Initially, he was Gucci Mane’s artist, but his breakdown, in 2013, left him a free agent. Since then, Thug has stepped out, and become a star in his own right.

Much of what Young Thug does is controversial, and mostly for attention. Recently, the Atlanta rapper was in the studio, previewing some new music. It looked like he was actually rocking one of those blackface Gucci sweaters that caused so much controversy, not even a month ago.
