Rich The Kid Tells Artists To Stay Independent Because Labels Get Paid Percentages To Do Nothing

A lot of artists deal with issues with the major record labels they sign with and they do feel the long-term effects of it. Rich The Kid is now addressing this issue.

Rich The Kid took to Twitter tonight to say that artists need to stay independent, because these labels get a percentage off of them to do no work for them. While he has his own Rich Forever record label, Rich still has contracts in place with Quality Control Music and Interscope Records.

Rich The Kid said that the deal with 300 Entertainment is over. He started with QC in 2013, in the shadows of Migos but now that he’s established, the label must still be reaping the benefits.

With Rich telling artists to stay independent, that will definitely make them question signing to Rich’s label as well. Artists will always put themselves first when it comes to starting their own labels so the ones that they bring on board won’t be prioritized. Check out Rich The Kid’s tweet below.
