Currently, Jordan Peele is on an amazing run, with the films he has produced. There was cult-like success with Get Out, leading into BlackKklansman, his collaboration with Spike Lee. The latter of those films was snubbed at the Oscars, over the weekend.
Jordan Peele is the man with the hot hand, right now, in Hollywood. He is working on Candyman, another film project, and it is one close to his heart. Thus far, there has been an active search for the lead actor for this film.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is the lead man for Jordan Peele and Nia DeCosta’s new film. With the lead actor in place, the major work for the movie can begin. It is expected to arrive in theaters in June 2020.
