H.E.R. had a major 2018 and proved herself to be one of the best R&B artists in the game. 2018 was highlighted by her EP “H.E.R.” It contained the singles “Pigment,” “Focus,” and “2.”

H.E.R. shined bright tonight as she took home the award for Best R&B album with the “H.E.R.” project. Other nominees included Toni Braxton’s “Sex & Cigarettes,” Leon Bridges’ “Good Thing,” Lalah Hathaway’s “Honestly” and PJ Morton’s “Gumbo Unplugged (Live).”

“It’s so easy to question your art, even to question what you’re doing, to question the path that you’re on,” said H.E.R. to the Grammys. “But this is such confirmation for me; “you’re exactly where you need to be, you’re doing all the right things.” It just feels amazing, it feels like I found my objective and I’m fulfilling it. I’m so blessed.”

Expect H.E.R. to continue to build off of her momentum from 2018 and continue to be one of the top artists in her genre in 2019. The Grammys gave her a well deserved award tonight.
