Yo Gotti did his thing on the mixtape scene for over a decade, before getting mainstream looks. Due to the work he put in, Gotti crowned himself “king of Memphis,” to the chagrin of some of the vets from the city. Since 2017, though Gotti has kept a low profile, now returning with “Put a Date On It,” hoping it extends his streak of delivering a massive hit every other year into 2019, following 2017’s “Rake It Up” success.
