The Dog Is Out! Ruff Ryder Legend DMX Is Released From Federal Prison and Ready To Drop New Album and Tackle New Movie Deals

The dog is freed to roam home!

After serving a year behind bars for pleading guilty to tax fraud, the Ruff Ryders legend, DMX has been freed. X has been released a couple of days earlier than expected from Gilmer Federal Correctional Institution in West Virginia. His initial release date was January 27th, however the Federal Bureau of Prisons allow inmates to be released on the Friday before if their release date falls on a weekend.

Yesterday, his lawyer Murray Richman told news:

He’s coming home tomorrow. I spoke to him; he’s very happy. He’s looking forward to being home. He’s never been hotter than now – people have been seeking him out all over.”

Mr. Richman added that DMX was ‘terrific’ in jail and didn’t become a target because of his celebrity status. He’s been let out, but will be supervised for three years following his release. He is also forced to cough up over $2.3 million in restitution to Uncle Sam along with starting outpatient programs for substance abuse and mental health.

Now that he’s a free man it’s time for him to get back to securing the bag. Reports say DMX has plans on dropping a new album and tackling some new movie projects, including a possible biopic! It’s time he hits the studio to start rolling out new music. The fans have been waiting!
