This week, Cardi B went viral, and “they” didn’t like it, but she spoke nothing but facts. The longest government shutdown in US history, but… nevermind. All that matters is that Cardi B used her platform to speak on something important to her.
Cardi B is continuing her radio dominance, coming up on two years since “Bodak Yellow” made her a star, in music. Currently, she has her single, “Money,” and her feature on Pardison’s “Backin’ It Up” dominating radio. As of now, she is showing longevity.
Without even trying, Cardi B created her first hit of 2019. Or, rather, it was The Gregory Brothers who made this hit for her. Taking an excerpt of her rant about the shutdown, Cardi’s “yeah b*tch” line became a song that went viral, with the “Bodak Yellow” beat being used.
