From the moment he made his breakthrough, The Weeknd has been a fan favorite. Like Drake, The Weeknd hailed from Toronto, and helped put the city on the map. For years, it’s seemed as if The Weeknd was unable to not make a hit.

Last week, The Weeknd dropped “Lost In The Fire,” and the song immediately drew controversy. Fans assumed The Weeknd was taking shots at Drake, on the track. Now, The Weeknd is facing more serious accusations from the song.

Some people, perhaps were once fans of The Weeknd, are upset, calling his lyrics “homophobic, biphobic, and lebsophobic.” Their reasoning is due to his lyrics “f*ck you straight, girl.” They take this to mean The Weeknd is going to change a girl’s orientation, leading to Twitter trying to “cancel” him.
