Surviving R. Kelly premiered on Lifetime over the past three days which featured six episodes that exposed R. Kelly for having sex with teenage girls, videotaping, and physically abusing them. There were a myriad of victims along with his ex-wife Andrea Kelly telling their stories and reflecting on different incidents. His relationship with Aaliyah was also well documented in which he married her when she was in her early teens and supposedly had sex with her on a tour bus. The latest incident involving Kelly was a sex cult from 2017 where he was supposedly holding women against their will.

According to TMZ, Kelly didn’t watch the series at all and when showed the victims, he didn’t recognize half of them. He says the other half hate him for personal and professional reasons. Sources close to Kelly added to TMZ that he will sue everyone involved in Surviving R. Kelly, which includes John Legend and Charlamagne Tha God.

The sources even went on to claim that there were people who wanted to defend Kelly’s name on the show but were denied. In the upcoming months, expect a good amount of lawsuits from Kelly’s camp against people who detailed these horrific stories. His legal had made it known ahead of Surviving R. Kelly’s release that they would plan to sue if it went on to be aired. Lifetime aired all six episodes for three nights in a row most likely due to these circumstances.
