The current industry climate includes a lot of talking about being independent. Since the 1990s, when artists got on by owning their labels, most artists try to go independent. Few of them go as independent as Yella Beezy, who hails from Dallas.
Yella Beezy dropped “That’s On Me,” well over a year ago, and began working the record. By the end of summer 2018, the song became a radio hit. Marking this, Yella Beezy dropped the remix, featuring Boosie, Rich The Kid, T.I., 2 Chainz, and Jeezy.
In its truest form, Yella Beezy is an On The Rise artist, as he did this all on his own, with the help of his team. When he says “That’s On Me,” dude really means it. That hustle didn’t go unnoticed, as 2018 comes to an end, as Yella Beezy is 2018’s On The Rise Artist of the Year.
