The wait is coming to an end! Just in time for the holidays, Rihanna gifts fans with amazing news as she confirms new album coming in 2019 via Instagram. After posting to a promotional photo for a new shade of lipstick from her Fenty Beauty line to the gram, a fan comments under the post questioning when the “Oceans 8” singer will be dropping more music.
As we know, for the last couple of years Bad Gal RiRi has been making major money moves outside of the music scene. She has been working heavy on her brands, her beauty line, Fenty and her lingerie line, Savage X Fenty. Earlier this year, Rihanna starred in “Oceans 8” playing a hacker who works with a team of seven other women to steal jewels from the Met Gala. She also was offered to perform at the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show, but she turned down the opportunity as she takes a stand with Colin Kaepernick, who has been shut out by the NFL after he took a knee to protest police brutality in the United States.
Kuk Harrell, Rihanna’s vocal producer, took to Instagram live to tease that the upcoming album, referred to as ‘R9,’ “Is amazing! It’s incredible.” This upcoming project will be Rihanna’s latest release since her 2016, eighth studio album, “ANTI.” Her last album was Rihanna’s second no. 1 debut and eighth top 10 album. Although there aren’t any details regarding collaborations or track listings yet, fans are just excited that the RiRi will be giving us new music come the new year.
