In 2017, before Cardi B gained fame as an artist, she was still best-known for being on “Love & Hip Hop.” On the heels of her signing with Atlantic Records, Cardi B linked with Offset for a single. The track was called “Lick” and it was her first commercial single.
After her success with “Bodak Yellow,” her featured singles, “Bartier Cardi,” “Be Careful,” and “I Like It,” Cardi B spoke on her struggle. She said her first single, which was “Lick,” was a commercial fail. But, the song led to Cardi B and Offset hooking up.
Cardi B previously revealed she and Offset were over, after more cheating rumors emerged. Since, Offset has publicly been apologizing and asking for another chance, which he gave his last ditch effort, to get her back, at Rolling Loud, which Cardi turned down. When she defended him, Cardi B got backlash, and she responded with another video, clearing up her decision.
