A lot of people overlook how smart of a businessman Soulja Boy is. He was one of the first rappers to use iTunes to sell his music. The early days of iTunes was a way for people to download and buy music from established artists.
Soulja Boy wasn’t the first rapper to go online with his music, but he was the first to make money that way. Even though he eventually signed the traditional label deal, Soulja eventually went independent. In the years since then, he has amassed a $25 million fortune.
Now, Soulja Boy is going head-first into the tech industry. Already, he is getting into the video game industry. Ahead of Christmas, Soulja Boy has announced his Soulja Watch smart watch line, which is available now.
