Ava DuVernay signs huge $100 million overall deal with Warner Bros. TV, allowing her to create more shows for more networks

Working hard, for years, Ava DuVernay first got her big break, when her show, “Queen Sugar,” was picked up by OWN. The show instantly became the biggest show in the network’s history. This success was followed by “The Red Pill,” on CBS.

Ava DuVernay made her biggest impact with A Wrinkle In Time, a film she produced with Disney. All of this has led to a massive increase in her overall stock. There was at least one company that took notice and decided to do a deal.

Warner Bros.’ TV division wasted no time locking Ava DuVernay into a huge deal. Worth $100 million, she has an overall deal, which allows her to create shows and pitch them to any network. She also has a new film deal, courtesy of this arrangement.
