Producers such as Drumma Boy, J White, and Zaytoven gave independent artists an opportunity to bid on their beats at TMI Worldwide’s Atlanta Beat Auction. The event also helped charitable organizations. DJ Holiday hosted the event.

Drumma Boy is a legend on the Atlanta hip hop scene, though he is actually a Memphis native. Making his name in the ATL, he produced groundbreaking records for Jeezy and Memphis’ Yo Gotti. In 2008, he produced Jeezy’s “Put On,” with Kanye West, establishing himself.

Hip-HopVibe.com caught up with Drumma Boy to discuss a myriad of topics at the Atlanta Beat Auction. He discussed how the Memphis hip hop scene has blown up, with new acts such as Young Dolph, Blac Youngsta, Key Glock, and Yo Gotti putting his artists on. Talking about the opportunities the Atlanta Beat Auction provide, he also spoke on Memphis hip-hop in the 2000s and now along with partnering up with the Atlanta Falcons to become one of their official DJs.
