Jane Handcock SHINES on Latest Single “647”

Oakland singer/songwriter Jane Handcock is back with a fire new track after this summer’s release of her Where’s Jane? EP. Her latest song “647” is a hearty serving of Jane’s usual soulful honesty, and as she explained in a recent interview, the lyrics cover the relationship highs and lows she experienced while talking to someone in the 647 area code in Canada. (Smart money is on Drake!)

After a huge co-sign from multi-Grammy-winner Raphael Saadiq who executive produced her two mixtapes, the talented young Ms. Handcock is stepping further out into the spotlight after an acclaimed career as a songwriter. Her lyrical skills take center stage as she sings (and sometimes melodically raps) about wanting to let go and fall in love while recognizing that when things get too deep, they usually end too soon. As long as I’m with you, everything is cool/ I don’t get too deep, cuz everytime we lose/ That’s why I don’t think, I just only do…what I FEEL. Listen to the captivating track above and keep up with much more to come from Jane Handcock here —> @handcockjay
