Since 2010, Drake has consistently been the hottest rapper in the game. Over the years, Nicki Minaj was the only rapper who could match him, when it comes to the numbers, and she is his label-mate. With the whole Cash Money era ending, Cardi B has emerged.

This year, Drake has had to battle with Cardi B for the top spot, as she’s proven to be more than a one hit wonder. But, Drake has continued to hold his own, holding the top spot for himself. Earlier this afternoon, he showed just how he has solidified himself in 2018.

Drake, following in Jay-Z’s footsteps, has beaten a Billboard Hot 100 record owned by The Beatles. He topped the group, taking their record for most Hot 100 hits in a single year. Making the record his own, Drake currently has twelve songs on the year, to hit the top ten.
