Music would have gone down a much different path, had it not been for the contributions of Teddy Riley. When he ushered in the New Jack Swing era, Teddy Riley helped redefine the game. This led to some major hits for Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown, himself, and others.
Teddy Riley brought Guy to prominence and when that run was over, he then created BLACKstreet. They would go onto dominate the mid-1990s to much success. The past few years have seen Teddy Riley return to the spotlight, as people appreciate the old era.
Recently, Teddy Riley sat down with “The Breakfast Club,” where he spoke with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. The interview went into the history of New Jack Swing. He would also speak on the New Jack Swing history, Guy, Bobby Brown, and many more.
