Back in 2015, Lil Wayne’s tour bus was shot at and it was supposedly set up by long-time friend and labelmate Birdman and also Young Thug. Prosecutors had previously stated that Jimmy “Peewee Roscoe” Winfrey was the shooter of the bus and had done it to get clout in a gang.
It’s been suspected that Birdman and Thug put Winfrey up to do the job. Now according to Mike Petchenick of WSB-TV in Atlanta, the Cobb County’s DA office will decide in the next few weeks of whether Birdman and Thug will be charged for being involved in the shooting. It was also revealed that Birdman called Winfrey eight times prior to the shots being let off. Birdman told Winfrey that it was time to get his money, which could be in reference to getting the shooting done.
Winfrey has since maintained his innocence and denied involvement. What Birdman and Thug will be possibly charged with is the hot topic right now though. This comes at an usual time considering the fact that Wayne & Birdman recently buried their beef at Lil Weezyana Fest.
