Don Q talks New York hip hop, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, new music, and more on #TheBreakfastClub [VIDEO]

Back in 2016, there was an explosion in New York’s rap scene. A lot of major stars were born in this era, like A Boogie, Young M.A, and Don Q emerged late that year as a dark horse. The guys like Manolo Rose and Troy Ave, who were around for years, ended up fading away.

Don Q has since found himself caught in the middle of a beef with a fellow rising star. Most of 2018 has seen him and Kodak Black at odds, along with A Boogie. Not only are they all label-mates, but Chris Brown featured Kodak and A Boogie on his song last year.

Recently, Don Q stopped by “The Breakfast Club,” where he sat down with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. The conversation started about New York hip hop, which is currently led by 2017’s breakout stars, Cardi B and 6ix9ine. Don Q would also discuss NY hip hop, A Boogie, new music, and more.
