Lil Yachty is set to release his second album of the year Nuthin 2 Prove on October 19 and will now continue to make a name for himself as he will star and executive produce in the MTV film How High 2, according to Variety. The original movie premiered back in 2001 with Method Man and Redman as the main acts. Bruce Leddy will direct the sequel.
How High 2 is set for a 2019 release. Yachty will also be executive producing the film along with Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Pierre “Pee” Thomas, and Brian Sher from Quality Control Music, the record label that Yachty is signed to. Yachty will star as Roger, one of the main characters from the original How High movie.
Coach K said that he wants QC to make an impact in the film industry and this move with Yachty is a huge step in that direction. Yachty had also previously appeared in ‘Lopez‘ on TV Land, had a voiceover for Green Lantern on Teen Titans Go!, and also had his popular Target and Sprite commercials.
