Lil Wayne was supposedly going to release the fifth installment of his Carter album series at midnight but that clearly didn’t happen as social media was in an uproar after there were no signs of its release. This all comes after numerous celebrities such as Floyd Mayweather, James Harden and even Wayne’s daughter Reginae posted a cover art for the album on their Instagram pages throughout the day.

A tracklist was also going around that was rumored to be the official one for Carter V. It had 14 tracks with appearances by Mannie Fresh, Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz and even Drake on the song ‘Believe Me’ which was released four years ago.

As you can imagine, Twitter continued to light up as time passed by when midnight hit as Carter V was not seen on any streaming outlets. Check out some reactions below.
