Rumors have been heating up about Bruno Mars possibly playing the role of Prince in a new biopic being created by Netflix. Reports are trying to confirm this but reps from Mars are saying that this is “100 percent false,” according to Billboard. The Daily Mirror initially reported that this was a go.
Sources also say that Mars was skeptical about taking on this role due to the fact that Prince has been an idol to him for so many years. It will be interesting to see if Mars does change his mind though. Netflix would definitely have to bring out the brinks truck in order to pay Mars to finally decide to take on this role.
Mars has been on his 24k Magic Tour since March and it will conclude in November. Guests that are part of the tour are Ciara, Charlie Wilson, Ella Mai, and Boyz II Men. Cardi B was originally part of the tour but had to withdraw due to her pregnancy.
