Coming into this season, the Houston Rockets needed some additional firepower. Whether it was the Chris Paul injury, or not, the Rockets proved they still couldn’t beat the Golden State Warriors. Now, there are the Lakers, led by LeBron James.
Signing LeBron doesn’t guarantee the Lakers a top four seed out West, but it does guarantee life will be much harder, out West. It isn’t impossible for the Rockets to get 65 wins, again, but it won’t be easy. In many ways, it’s understandable that they’d pursue Carmelo Anthony.
Finally getting Melo to join him and James Harden, Chris Paul is excited. This morning, Carmelo Anthony officially signed with Houston and Chris Paul shared this practice photo. He captioned it “welcome my brother.”
