Five years ago, YG went from being a somewhat known LA rapper to being the man. The then-rising rapper was paired with Young Jeezy and then Def Jam ran a huge marketing campaign. His single, “My Hitta” was a radio boon, dominating summers 2013 and 2014.

In between those runs, YG also had “Who Do You Love?” become a big hit to open 2014. Both songs were powered by DJ Mustard beats, but then the two had beef. Even though they made amends, years ago, the media acts like that moment never happened.

YG visited Nessa at Hot 97, where he, again, spoke on Mustard. The interview also had him talking about his daughter. There’s a lot going on, in LA, with LeBron James signing with the Lakers, so YG’s happy about that, plus he discussed 6ix9ine and his Stay Dangerous album.
