Back in the 1990s, Brandy, Monica, and Aaliyah were the three rising queens of R&B. Both were extremely young, yet extremely successful, dominating the game. Easily, however, Brandy was the biggest of the three ladies.
Brandy had her own show, “Moesha,” and her connections ran much deeper. Using her TV appeal, Brandy was able to boost her popularity in ways other artists could not. In the years since then, Brandy has gone through what many others from that era have, decline.
Over the years, Brandy and Monica have gone back-and-forth having beef with each other. The last shots Brandy fired came during the 2016 Soul Train Awards, during her medley, when she threw some shots at her on/off rival. Now, she performed “The Boy Is Mine” at Essence Fest, and she had more smoke for Monica.
