Many people didn’t realize Ella Mai released “Boo’d Up,” a year ago, until it was pointed out. This is a record she has worked, from hole-in-the-wall clubs, until she was packing out stadiums. Also, her success has given DJ Mustard, or just Mustard, real credibility.
Ella Mai is an artist DJ Mustard signed to his label. As many may have realized, he has slowly been fading into the background, showing up on more pop records. Watching the award shows, he’s become more commonly referred to as just Mustard.
Regardless of what he’s being called, Ella Mai was probably screaming his name, in joy. The “Boo’d Up” record has officially gone platinum, and she received her plaque. Celebrating this, she shared the photo on Instagram, of her with the plaque, DJ Mustard, and Larrance.
