More than ever, times are changing, and there is more technology than ever before. But, recent years have shown that people have a long way to go. In 2018, there are still people talking about and actually representing the Confederacy, among other things.
Prejudice is something that will never truly go away, simply because no one person is just like another. Homosexuality was once a hot button issue, but now something most have come to accept. Not everyone agrees with it, obviously, but it’s more commonplace than before.
In New York City, one of the most-progressive places in the world, there was a major display of homophobia. A lesbian couple, ages 24 and 26, were catching a ride, and they shared a brief kiss. This kiss ended up being too much for their Uber driver and he kicked them out, with the ladies catching his whole tirade on camera.
