Watching what happened in Texas was so saddening, maddening, and sickening. It’s all of these things, because it always happens, and it’s almost commonplace. So many events and award shows begin with the hosts taking out a moment of silence.
Kelly Clarkson decided to go off-script, opening the Billboard Awards, tonight. She shut down all of that talk of a “Moment of Silence,” because it’s not working. Twenty years ago is when one of the first major school shootings took place, and each one is more horrific.
Tonight, Kelly Clarkson said she was “so sick of” moments of silence and she wanted change. Quite literally, Kelly Clarkson asked for a moment of change, for the masses. The fans on Twitter are with her and they are demanding gun control.
