Wale announces he signed with Warner Bros. Records, the same label he originally signed with, via MMG, in 2011 [VIDEO]

It turns out, Wale didn’t remain a free agent for too long. Despite being a longtime member of Maybach Music, Wale was dropped by Atlantic, last year. Seeing how his music hasn’t been as popular as it once was, the news wasn’t surprising.

In 2011, Wale signed with Maybach Music and the label, in turn, signed a deal with Warner Bros. However, in 2013, the label moved to Atlantic, which is a part of the Warner Music Group. Essentially, Atlantic Records is Warner Bros. Records’ sister label.

Wale posted a video to his Instagram, about an hour ago. The video details a new deal that brings his career full circle. As he was, from 2011-2013, Wale is MMG/Warner, once again, as he announced his new deal with Warner Bros. Records.
