Last night, the Oklahoma City Thunder were outplayed, on both ends of the floor, by the Utah Jazz. The team everybody expected to fail is suddenly the new favorites, out West, courtesy of Donovan Mitchell. He is just as good, if not better, of a leader, than Gordon Hayward.
With the Jazz, though, it’s all about team effort, and this team doesn’t move without Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, and Ricky Rubio. Last night saw a big effort from Joe Ingles, too. It was enough for the Jazz to get a blowout win, and take a commanding 3-1 lead, in the series.
Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and Paul George spoke with the press, following the game. The reporters kept trying to hound Russ about Ricky Rubio. After his bold claims that he was going to “shut him down,” Westbrook wasn’t trying to answer that question, saying “let’s move past that.”
