Most rookies aren’t as lucky as Ben Simmons, as most don’t come into a team with a solid core that just needed to emerge. Him technically being in his second year definitely helped put the Philadelphia 76ers where they needed to be. The team went 52-30 in his rookie year.

Going into the playoffs, the Sixers had the most momentum, out of all the teams. Closing the season on a 16-game winning streak, they opened the playoffs against the Miami Heat. In Game 1, the Sixers blew the Heat out, but Dwyane Wade stepped up in Game 2.

Ben Simmons talked with the media, after his first playoff loss. He talked about how the Sixers have essentially given up home court advantage, and what needs to happen next. Giving Dwyane Wade his props, he pointed out the Sixers’ comeback, and how they need to be tough and ready for Miami’s physicality.
