Kemba Walker gives an emotional interview after becoming Charlotte Hornets’ all-time leading scorer #CavsHornets [VIDEO]

Coming into tonight, Kemba Walker was only 20 points away from setting the Hornets’ all-time record for scoring. Back in 2014, the Hornets’ name returned to Charlotte. What happened was a merger, of sorts, of the Hornets 1988-2002, with the Bobcats, 2004-2014.

That, plus New Orleans giving up the Charlotte history, made Dell Curry the franchise’s all-time leading scorer. The news couldn’t have come at a better time, as Steph Curry took over the NBA, the same year. Over, in Charlotte, things haven’t been as great, unfortunately.

By all accounts, Charlotte should’ve become playoff contenders, after their 2014 appearance. Fate, however, had other plans, and the Hornets only have the 2014 and 2016 playoffs, in the Kemba Walker era, where he has proven himself to be a star. Tonight, he scored 22 points in a loss to the Cavs, officially ending their 2018 playoff hopes, but he still gave a proud and emotional interview, afterwards.
