Two years ago, “Queen Sugar” premiered on the OWN network, and the show became the network’s highest-rated show. Even after two seasons, “Queen Sugar” remains the main draw. The show has helped turn Kofi Siriboe into a household name.

On the show, he plays opposite Bianca Lawson, who is now known for being Beyonce’s stepsister. The show boasts an all-star cast, which has definitely helped ratings. With the third season set to premiere, the network is making their plans.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that “Queen Sugar” would make its premiere on May 29. The show will premiere with a two-night event, as it has during its first two seasons. Instead of the annual June 20-21 premiere, May 29 is the premiere date.
